Maribel was born in Virginia and was raised by her parents and siblings, though information about them is scarce. Maribel had a dream of being a lawyer from the age of seven. After graduating from high-school and attending at the University of Virginia, where she graduated with an emphasis in German as well as Foreign Policy. Thomas Jefferson, an author of the Declaration of Independence, founded the institution in 1819. The university has expanded to now offer over a hundred different programs within the Jefferson's Academical Village which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The campus covers 1600 acres of land for its main campus, and many more acres for the Research Park and Farm.
